Well gosh pal, thank you so much! I hope you don’t mind but I’ll answer this publicly in case anyone else has the same question. Our list is not set in stone in the slightest. We’re always accepting new movies and new characters depending on what is requested.

What we won’t accept is made for Disney channel movies and shows (Kim Possible, That’s So Raven, Johnny Tsunami, Zenon Girl of the 21st Century). Tv series characters based on a feature films (such as The Aladdin Series, Hercules: the TV series, The Little Mermaid Series, The Emperor’s New School, etc.) can be request because we see those as an extension to the movies themselves.

First of all I want to thank my pal Donald for helping me out in talking to all of you last night! We had a great turn out and I’m happy everyone was so supportive and understanding.

Secondly I mentioned a super idea that I’d love to accomplish but I need yoooooooour help to do it!

Its safe to say that the group isn’t exactly “canon” but it isn’t not “canon” either. We’ve put our own spins to the tale which is great, but it can also get confusing for the people coming in later to join in the plots.

We also have a bunch of settings that need to be organized and described along with when your movie takes place (pre-movie(s), post-movie(s), in between movies etc.) and eventually we’ll be able to add it to a map like this one.

Why the alternative universes?

The places that you need to gain entrance to through a special process (going down a rabbit hole/ a wardrobe/painting/ etc.) are literally right above the “main” worlds which can be gained assess through easily. Meaning they overlap one above the other and one is no more special than the other (though the residence can beg to differ).

I don’t know all your places and neither do the people joining in later. What I want for you guys to do this summer is get in contact with your movie people and come up with a headcanon for the setting your movie is written for.

Time period, location, names, special places you can visit, what changes you’ve made to the movie, how many years into the story is it? how many years before is it? How can you get there? Exports? Imports? Politics? Allies with other kingdoms?

Etc. It helps you know where you’re writing and anyone else who you may rp with in the future.

You have all summer to work on it and whenever you’re ready feel free to send us a submit about your kingdom, add pictures, notes, and we’ll start linking them to your movie title on the character list.

REMEMBER: Don’t worry about timelines so much that you feel you can’t rp with someone because they’re from another time period.

((Hello. I think I want to join you, however, I saw that all the characters I wanted to apply for have been taken, so then I had another idea. What if I roleplayed as the Pegasus mare in Hercules, but as an actual character, not a disguise by Pain and Panic? I had the idea of incorporating the plot of "Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus" into her character. Another group had Vanessa from TLM as a separate character, hence why I'm asking...What do you think? May I write an application?))

Recap of Tonight's Meeting

For the people that weren’t able to come into chat tonight, here is the basic rundown of the things that we went over:

Please make sure that you are up to date with the group’s rules! We constantly edit them and change them based on member’s ideas and opinions, so make sure you’re updated on them!
Shipping has gotten a little out of hand lately. Insta-ships are a no go. We want to see development. Remember, RPing isn’t all about shipping and romance! And if there is a mun who doesn’t want their character in a relationship… Do not attack them for it!
When it comes to ask memes such as “Send me this and I’ll…” or anything of the like, please keep it to only two per week. Lately, we’ve been seeing asks clogging up the dash instead of actual roleplaying, and that’s not a good thing.
In response to the ask memes, remember that you do not have to answer every single question regarding your character’s sex life (unless it is Sexual Sunday or TMI Tuesday). This is fine if your character would be willingly open about such things, but if not, remember that you do not have to answer them.
NSFW posts have also been on the rise lately. While a little sexy time between characters (that have established a developed relationship) is completely fine, we just want people to be aware that we do have younger members in the group. So keep that in mind! And if you do decide to do the deed, keep it under a read more!
Also, please do not interact with mirror characters. This means that, if we already have that character within DWRP, we kindly ask that you keep interaction with the mirror to a bare minimum, limited only to the occasional asks. We don’t want any hurt feelings. This is a group, after all, and we want you to interact with the characters we have here.
Katy will also be creating a map that connects all the worlds of DWRP. Make sure to get with the characters from your respective movies to come up with headcanons and a basic layout from where they are from!

And I think that’s all we covered. Remember, if you begin to stray from the rules, we will be messaging you about it and, if it continues, you may be asked to leave the group. We don’t want that! We love you all and DWRP is a family, first and foremost!

Remember, it’s stated in our rules that:

Our members are allowed to roleplay with anyone they choose and with their discretion. However to keep things civil, we ask that you not roleplay with a character from your movie.

Roleplaying with a “mirror-character” can cause disturbance. Feelings can be hurt and you might seem unapproachable if someone wishes to join as that character but sees you’re already in a relationship with one elsewhere.

In other words, if we have a character in our group… Don’t interact with the same character outside of the group!

Okay, I am going to break character in answering this one because, honestly, it really upset me when I read it.

First of all, we already received a message like this a few days ago. If seeing a ship list is that important you, go back through our archives and find it.

Secondly, and most importantly, this group is based on developing relationships, whether they are romantic or not. When we see that people want a detailed list of who is single or taken, it makes us think that roleplayers are coming into the group solely for the reason of shipping their characters. Now, we aren’t saying that we don’t like ships. We love ships! There is nothing wrong with shipping, whether it be canon or crack. All we ask is that we see development.

Do you know a good way to develop a character? Go out, and interact with people. In doing so, both you and your muse will find out all on their own if the characters they are interacting with are single or not.

So, long story short. No, I’m not going to give you a list of who is single or not because that is not what our group is about. Insta-ships are not cool. Development is all the rage in this day and age.

Go develop relationships and find that information out on your own.
